Roman Republic. Time of the Second Punic War. Anonymous "Rostrum Tridens" Series AR (Silver) denarius. Struck ca. 206-195 BC. Fine; very rare, only three examples in sales archives in the last ten years.

Design: Helmeted head of Roma right; X (10 = mark of value) to left / The Dioscuri (Castor and Pollux) galloping right; prow of galley and ROMA below
